How to create a star schema from Jira using Maia
A gold layer star schema for a full agricultural operation — five dimensions with SCD Type 2, surrogate keys, a central fact table, and validation against nine acceptance criteria — typically takes a data engineering team days to build. This demo shows it done in 20 minutes.
Using a single Jira task as its only input, Maia enters Plan Mode to present a full execution strategy before a line of code is written. The engineer reviews, aligns, and approves. Maia then builds and deploys the orchestration pipeline, hits real data issues mid-run — zero rows in the Farm dimension, duplicate records in Product — investigates autonomously, applies fixes, and reruns.
The session closes with Maia reading back each of the nine acceptance criteria from the original Jira ticket and providing evidence that every requirement has been met.
